Go hog wild tonight! |
We have watched the ball drop in Time Square and in Jackson, Michigan. We have hosted New Year's Eve parties at our home for anywhere from 10 to 60 of our friends. We have rung in the new year in bars filled with bear, drag queens, and twinks. So what does this New Year's Eve have in store? Putting the kids to bed, having a nice quiet dinner, and welcoming in the new year in front of a roaring fire in the fire place. Hopefully starting the new year in this calm manner will set the tone for 2012!
Yup, we're old. Yup, we're lame.
What are YOU doing this evening?
Glad you're spending the night the way you choose. Wishing you both, and the kids, a new year filled with happiness!
ReplyDeleteI will be spending a quiet evening alone at home watching TV, sitting by the fireplace. I might just make it long enough to watch the ball drop. I might stir up a pitcher of margaritas, then again I might not.
ReplyDeleteYup I'm old! But I don't consider myself lame! I just don't like the hassle of the usually obnoxious New Year's Eve crowd.
Have a great evening together with the ones you love most! And a great 2012!
Didn't catch it when I typed it, but saw it when I read it on your re-post. It should read "bears" not "bear."
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to spending a quiet evening with the man I love.
We elected to skip the parties this year and spend this weekend renovating our master bath. :) Now we are snuggling down for munchies and horror movies in front of the fireplace to take us past midnight. :)
ReplyDeleteps. Happy New Year! :)
ReplyDeletewe are worse - we watch the ball drop and declare it is the new year - and go to bed - at 10PM !
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to both of you!!!
A few days late, but we had a Harry Potter marathon (made it through 5 movies) and watched the downtown fireworks from our loft window at the Armory.
