Hello, brothers, LOVE y'all, congrats on the book!

To the hater from Tod's hometown-I feel sorry for you; you evidently never took the time to know the man (your loss). I have been fortunate enough to have known Tom for 32 years, and Tod for as long as Tom has known him.
I met Tom in college at the Toledo Museum of Art. We have forged a friendship out of mutual respect, creative interests, and most of all, brotherly love. Our families have spent many wonderful times together, filled with love and laughter, sorrw and cries; all that life is made of.
Tom and I have always had the common ground of being creative, compassionate people. One difference between us (that has never been an issue, at least with us...) is sexuality. I am straight, Tom is gay. We grew to love each others as friends, brothers: always having the common decency, as most people, to keep intimate matters private.
I was fortunate enough to have beeen part of Tom & Tod's union ceremony. I had driven all night from Savannah, GA., where I was living at the time, to arrive in time for the nuptuals. I had
never witnessed such an outpouring of emotion to that point. Suffering from sleep deprivation, I found it exceptionally difficult to maintain composure, with emotions flowing freely, in the form of tears, and well, just plain LOVE!(mostly from Tom & Tod).
I have never known Tom& Tod to be anything but amazing in all that they do. Whether trudging happily through day to day tasks, overcoming adversity, or just being a friend, ANY person would be damn lucky to be able to say that Tom& Tod are their friends.
I pity the haters!
Love- Uncle Fred
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817782342721234183.post-17076566969342962312012-11-16T20:39:52.517-05:002012-11-16T20:39:52.517-05:00Tom: thank you so much for sharing this. Erin, thank you for your candor. as the sibling of a gay man I often find myself thinking along similar lines, but never have I seen it put so plainly, in terms anyone should be able to understand. Peace to you, may our nation recognize what so many of us already realize, that love should be cherished in all it's forms.Mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00677179992310191665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817782342721234183.post-58403634612111736412012-11-11T23:17:14.647-05:002012-11-11T23:17:14.647-05:00I was thrilled to see you posting again!
